TMI practices stringent policies that not only help maintain the sanctity and credibility of its internationally renowned examinations but also ensure that a just, affirmative, healthy, objective and empathetic approach is pursued, evaluating applicants' fitness for the award of its prestigious credentials. Following are some of the most important policy areas for examinees to make note of:
In the event that examinees fail their first attempt to pass their TMI Certification examination, they shall be required to pay a nominal fee of USD 50 from their myTMI account, to reappear for the exam. Please note that the examinee can apply to reappear right after their examination result gets published.
If an examinee voluntarily cancels the scheduled examination appointment, they can immediately reapply from the myTMI dashboard by paying a nominal fee of USD 50.
TMI has a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct or adoption of unfair means during exams, and TMI exam managers (proctors) are duly empowered for taking stringent punitive action on examinees found indulging in any of the following acts:
Please be informed that stringent action will be taken against examinees found violating or breaching TMI's intellectual property rights laws through unauthorized copying or distribution of exam content or materials.
Any communication – be it verbal, written, or electronic – made by an examinee, which can be deemed to be against TMI exam policies is strictly prohibited, and if made, will invite stringent penal action.
Examinees seeking to dispute any TMI action or decision against their candidacy, may download and fill up the Exam Candidacy Reconsideration Request Form and send it to exam@tmi.org for initiating process and action.
Examinees seeking for reconsideration of their exam result, may download and fill up Request for Reconsideration (Appeal) Form and send it to care@tmi.org.
Emergencies
Examinees missing a scheduled exam because of emergencies should directly contact TMI to report the matter. The following reasons for missing out on, or not showing up for a scheduled TMI certification examination have been defined as acceptably genuine and justified for grant of Retake permissions if requested:
Examinees forced to miss out on their scheduled TMI exam for any of the above-mentioned reasons are required to contact TMI and request a Retake by submitting doctor’s or hospital certificates etc as proofs of the emergency encountered.
Please note that the certification fee is non-refundable. However, if the case is not listed under our ‘no show’ policy, an additional fee of USD 50 will be charged to reapply. The examination can be scheduled from the myTMI dashboard after 14 days from the date of missing the appointment.
